By the numbers
Two systems. One sport.
Predator is the dual-fiber premier system for elite cleat traffic and televised fields. UltraBlade is the workhorse for NFHS programs and large-volume district budgets. Both ship with the same 8-year limited warranty. Both are extruded and tufted in our two American plants.

Predator spec sheet
Slit-film blade fiber engineered for NFHS programs, multi-use high school fields, and parks-and-rec budgets where every dollar has to show up on the field. Same 8-year warranty as Predator at a friendlier line item.
UltraBlade spec sheetWhat to spec by level of play
A pure NFHS field that hosts 30 events a year is not the same project as an FBS practice field that takes 200 cleats a day in August. Here is how Sprinturf typically specs each level.

From an athletic director
"Sixteen years on Sprinturf. We replaced the field twice, both times ahead of schedule because donors wanted new logos and a new color package, not because the surface gave out. The factory built it. The factory honors it. Every season I get a phone call from the same regional rep, not a 1-800 number."
Football FAQ
If your question is not here, ask the regional rep on your call. We do not route field questions to a sales hotline.
Ask a Sprinturf repThe Synthetic Turf Council and most state high school athletic associations recommend Gmax under 165 per ASTM F355. Sprinturf football systems are engineered to perform below 165 throughout their warranty period, and we publish per-project Gmax test results on request. For elite high school programs and combine-style events, a Gmax target under 150 is reasonable and still well within warranty performance.
A synthetic football field eliminates rain-out risk, supports band practice, soccer, lacrosse, and PE class on the same surface, and absorbs 50 or more events per year that natural grass cannot host. Capital cost is higher upfront. Total cost over 10 years is typically comparable or lower once mowing, irrigation, fertilization, painting, reseeding, aerating, and rain cancellations are factored in. Most ADs we work with see the math break even around year six.
Cost varies by field size, base condition, drainage, perimeter work, and infill choice. A complete high school football field replacement, turf only and no track, typically runs from $700,000 to $1.2 million. Sprinturf provides a project-specific quote within one business day of a Request a Quote submission. We are happy to walk a board of education through a line-item budget if helpful.
Yes. Sprinturf is an approved vendor on Sourcewell, OMNIA Partners, BuyBoard, and TIPS-USA. Most school districts and parks departments can piggyback an existing contract and skip a full RFP. See cooperative purchasing for contract numbers and a step-by-step on how to use them.
Predator and UltraBlade carry an 8-year limited warranty. Field life on properly installed Sprinturf systems averages 12 to 14 years before performance-driven replacement. As of 2026, Sprinturf has had zero fiber failures on warranted football fields since 2010. The reason field life beats warranty is simple: every fiber on every field came off our own extrusion line, and we never blend in third-party yarn to hit a price point.
Sprinturf offers NaturalCool infill, a coated organic core that retains and slowly releases water and reduces synthetic surface temperature by up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit on a hot afternoon. Available as an upgrade on Predator and UltraBlade systems. For programs in the Sun Belt or for late-August two-a-days, we typically recommend it as a line item.
