GrandSlam
Extreme
The premier baseball and softball build. GrandSlam's combined monofilament and parallel-fibrillated canopy on the extreme-cycle backing system. Compatible with NaturalCool heat-mitigation infill to lower surface temperature on July infield practice without water. Built for D1 baseball, pro-affiliated complexes, and stadiums that run a year-round schedule.
GrandSlam Extreme runs the dual-fiber baseball canopy over our extreme-cycle backing, with NaturalCool integrated into the system. The heat-mitigation layer drops surface temperature against conventional infill, and the backing carries the live-BP load year-round.

A premier program plays year round. The backing has to know that.
GrandSlam Extreme runs the same combined monofilament and parallel-fibrillated canopy as base GrandSlam. The difference is the extreme-cycle backing underneath and the optional NaturalCool heat-mitigation infill on top. Daily live BP, infield reps, and a full home schedule no longer exceed the rated cycle count of the carpet.
Monofilament
The same low-pile monofilament fiber as base GrandSlam. The blade gives the ball a true bounce and the canopy reads the way a manicured infield reads. Tufted into the extreme-cycle backing for a higher annual cycle count.
Fibrillated + NaturalCool
The parallel-fibrillated lock fiber paired with NaturalCool heat-mitigation infill. The fibrillated profile traps NaturalCool granules at the canopy. NaturalCool lowers surface temperature without water, which is what separates a July infield workout from a July medical-tent visit.

Who is GrandSlam Extreme built for?
D1 baseball and softball programs, pro-affiliated and minor-league complexes, and high-traffic municipal stadiums where a single diamond hosts daily practice plus a full home schedule. The extreme-cycle backing exists because the heaviest baseball programs run more annual cleat-hours than the standard backing was rated for.
What is NaturalCool and why does it matter on a baseball field?
NaturalCool is Sprinturf's heat-mitigation infill. It lowers surface temperatures without the use of water. On a southern baseball schedule that means infield practice in July is meaningfully cooler than crumb rubber underfoot.
GrandSlam Extreme is engineered for NaturalCool compatibility. Programs running back-to-back tournaments in summer heat get the heat reduction without irrigation infrastructure on the carpet.
How does GrandSlam Extreme differ from base GrandSlam?
Base GrandSlam is the dedicated baseball/softball system. GrandSlam Extreme adds the extreme-cycle backing for higher-traffic programs and the NaturalCool heat-mitigation infill option.
Per-spec ball performance is comparable. Per-warranty performance favors the Extreme build for programs that run a year-round schedule.
Does it come in two colors?
Yes. The two-color configuration is available for programs that want a contrasting infield arc, dirt-cutout shaping, or a darker-tone outfield to match a parent club's identity. The two-color option does not change the underlying performance spec.
Where is GrandSlam Extreme manufactured?
All fibers are extruded at the Sprinturf plant in Dadeville, Alabama. Tufting and coating happen at the Sprinturf plant in Chatsworth, Georgia. Sprinturf is the only North American synthetic turf company that owns extrusion through tufting through coating in-house.
What is the warranty?
GrandSlam Extreme carries an 8-year limited warranty against fiber failure, seam separation, and excessive color fade. As of 2026, Sprinturf has not had a fiber failure on a warranted field since 2010.
Buying through Sourcewell, OMNIA, BuyBoard, or TIPS-USA?
GrandSlam Extreme is on every contract. Most NCAA athletics departments and municipal parks programs can piggyback an existing co-op contract and skip a full RFP.
