Brett Favre endorses Sprinturf as preferred field provider.

NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre publicly endorsed Sprinturf as his preferred synthetic-turf provider for athletic field projects. The announcement was made April 23, 2025, in coordination with Sprinturf headquarters at Daniel Island.

Favre's endorsement focuses on Sprinturf's commitment to safety, performance, and long-term durability, the three properties that decide whether a field still plays well in year ten. The endorsement does not name a single facility or program. It speaks to the surface category, and to Sprinturf as the manufacturer Favre is willing to put his name behind.

How the announcement was made

The endorsement was released as a video from Favre, distributed by Sprinturf and shared across the company's channels. The substance of his statement covered three properties: safety, performance, and long-term durability. The video framed those as the qualities that decide whether a field still plays well in year ten, and the qualities Favre saw as central to Sprinturf's product line.

No paid placement was disclosed beyond a standard endorsement arrangement with the manufacturer.

Why Favre, why now

Sprinturf has built its name in scholastic, collegiate, and parks-and-rec markets, with installations across all 50 states and a 16-year cohort of warrantied fields with zero fiber failures since 2010 to point at. The company does not run national television advertising. The Favre endorsement is the first major public-figure endorsement Sprinturf has accepted, and the company opted to take it because Favre's playing background gives the surface conversation weight in a way that a generic celebrity placement cannot.

For Favre, who spent two decades on a wide range of professional and practice surfaces, the credibility cuts in the right direction. He has an opinion on what holds up and what does not.

What it means for buyers

The endorsement does not change pricing, lead times, or warranty terms. What it does provide for athletic directors and parks directors is a third-party voice with playing-field credibility, useful in conversations with school boards and budget committees that have heard a lot of vendor claims.

  • Same Sprinturf product line. Predator, UltraBlade, GrandSlam, DFE Extreme, Sharkstooth. No "Favre Edition" SKU.
  • Same warranty. The standard 8-year limited Sprinturf warranty applies. Track record is validated against the 16-year cohort of warrantied fields with zero fiber failures since 2010.
  • Same regional team. Same reps, same install crews, same warranty service.
