SprintCare maintenance

Buy a field. Keep it under warranty.

SprintCare is the maintenance program built around your warranty, not around a vendor service tier list. Annual Gmax test, quarterly groom and decompaction, an 8-year refresh that brings infill and seams back to spec. Fields on a structured SprintCare plan run two to four years longer than fields without one. The factory that built your field maintains it.

SprintCare proof points

0-0 Years of additional field life on programs running structured SprintCare versus those running ad hoc maintenance.

Three tiers

Inspect. Maintain. Restore.

Most programs ride Maintain through the warranty period and step up to Restore around year eight. The Inspect tier is the floor. Skipping it puts the warranty at risk and shaves years off the field.

Tier 01 / The floor

Inspect

An annual Gmax test and visual walkthrough. Documents what your warranty needs and surfaces small issues before they grow into capital problems.

1 visit per year

Tier 03 / Year-8 refresh

Restore

A scheduled refresh around year eight. Infill top-up, seam repair, deep clean, and a warranty re-baseline that keeps the field on the original 8-year clock.

Year-8 service
  • Everything in Maintain
  • Infill top-up to original spec depth
  • Seam repair across the full field
  • Deep clean: organic and inorganic debris

The warranty stays in force when SprintCare runs on schedule.

The 8-year limited warranty on every Sprinturf system depends on the field being maintained to manufacturer recommendations. Programs that run a structured SprintCare plan have documentation in writing that the warranty was honored. Programs that run ad hoc maintenance often have neither documentation nor recourse when something goes wrong.

What's documented Visit logs, Gmax readings, infill depth measurements, photo records of seams and high-traffic zones, and an annual condition statement. If a warranty claim ever arises, the paperwork is already in your facilities folder.

SprintCare FAQ

Questions facility directors actually ask.

If your question is not here, ask the regional rep on your call.

Ask a Sprinturf rep
How often does a synthetic field need professional maintenance?

Most fields benefit from a Gmax test annually, professional grooming and decompaction quarterly, and a deep refresh around year 8. Daily monitoring (debris removal, infill redistribution near high-traffic zones, line painting touch-ups) typically falls to the on-site facilities team. SprintCare bundles the professional services and provides a checklist for the daily work so there's no ambiguity about what the building staff owns versus what the manufacturer owns.

How does the cost of SprintCare compare to a full replacement?

Annual SprintCare runs a small fraction of replacement cost. The math is straightforward: a $700K to $1.2M replacement avoided or pushed two to four years by professional maintenance pays for itself many times over. Co-op pricing applies to SprintCare contracts on the same Sourcewell, OMNIA, BuyBoard, and TIPS-USA contracts as the original field.

What does a SprintCare visit actually cover?

Inspect-tier visits cover the annual Gmax test per ASTM F355, a visual walkthrough, photo documentation, and a one-page report. Maintain-tier visits add motorized grooming, decompaction passes across high-traffic zones, infill redistribution, minor seam repair, and a written log left with your facilities team. Restore-tier visits add an infill top-up to original spec depth, full-field seam repair, a deep clean, and a warranty re-baseline document.

Where do you provide SprintCare service?

All 50 states. Sprinturf has install crews and SprintCare technicians within driving distance of every metropolitan ZIP. For more remote locations, we plan visits around regional travel windows so cost stays predictable rather than spiking for one-off site visits. Call 877-686-8873 with a ZIP code and a regional rep will confirm coverage and visit pricing on the same call.

Can SprintCare run during the season?

Yes. Most maintenance work scopes to off-days or non-game windows. Quarterly grooming typically runs over a weekday between events. A Gmax test takes a couple of hours and can run before a Friday-night practice. The annual deep clean is the only visit that benefits from a multi-day window, and we schedule it into your offseason calendar at contract signing.

Start with the Gmax test

Schedule a Gmax test.

A regional Sprinturf rep visits your field, drops a Gmax tester at standardized grid points, and returns a one-page condition report the same day. From that visit, you'll have a clear picture of where your field sits versus the warranty target, and a path to a SprintCare tier that fits your schedule and your bond cycle.

What ships with the report Gmax reading per ASTM F355, photo documentation, infill depth measurements, seam condition notes, recommended SprintCare tier, and a co-op contract reference if you'd rather skip the RFP for the maintenance contract.
